Details

PuzzleFeast is a sliding-button puzzle. A treat sits under each button, and your dog has to nose or paw the button aside to get it — then move on to the next one, and the next, until they've worked their way across the whole board.

Because only one treat is exposed at a time, it also paces dogs who would otherwise eat everything in one go. Sits on a non-slip base so it stays put on hard floors while they push at it.

Chewzzle™ PuzzleFeast IQ Toy – Slow Feeder & Food Dispenser Bowl for Dogs and Puppies

Every button is a small problem to solve.

Your dog has to notice the button, work out that it moves, and figure out how to shift it. Then do it again. It's a genuine sequence of problems rather than a single trick, which is why dogs stay interested past the first session.

A slow feeder, as a side effect.

Because only one treat is uncovered at a time, a dog who normally clears a bowl in seconds can't. Load it with a portion of their kibble and the same food takes several minutes of thinking instead — easier on the stomach, and a calmer dog afterwards.

Honest fit check

Is PuzzleFeast right for your dog?

Great fit if your dog…

  • Eats far too fast
  • Is motivated by food or treats
  • Gets bored indoors or is alone during the day
  • Enjoys sniffing and working things out

Skip it if your dog…

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my dog actually figure it out?

Most food-motivated dogs work out the first cover within a few minutes, especially if you start with the covers partly open so they can see and smell what's underneath. Once they've had one success, the rest follows quickly.

What size dogs is it for?

It suits dogs of all sizes. Smaller dogs tend to use their nose, larger dogs tend to use a paw — both work.

Can I use it for a whole meal, or just treats?

Either. Fill the pockets with a portion of their normal kibble to slow a full meal down, or use a handful of treats when you want a short enrichment session.

Will it slide around the floor?

The base is non-slip and designed to stay put on tile and hardwood while your dog pushes at the covers.

Does my dog need supervision?

We recommend supervising the first few sessions, and any dog who tends to chew plastic rather than solve it. It's a puzzle, not a chew toy.

Love it, or send it back.
